Bella's journey is a powerful testament to the strength of the will to live. Born on a farm, Bella was left to die because she was born with dwarfism. She received no food or care but, against all odds, Bella clung to life, surviving on the minimal milk she could get from her mother.

Her fate took a turn when a compassionate visitor to the farm noticed her plight. She was skin and bones, with very little hair due to severe malnourishment. Shocked by the farmer's indifference and refusal to help, the visitor reached out to a rescuer, who swiftly secured Bella's release. That's when Bella found her way to Welcome Home.

When Bella arrived, she was terrified of humans. Her body bore the scars of severe neglect, and she had never experienced the simple joys of feeling the sun on her back or the grass under her feet. But with time, love, and care, Bella's transformation began.

Today, Bella is thriving. She is a valued member of our sanctuary family. Her best friend, Wilbur, is always by her side, and Bella has discovered a love for belly rubs and the peace and quiet of her new home. Though she remains shy and mostly keeps to herself, her gentle spirit shines through.
