Dottie’s journey to Welcome Home is both heartwarming and thought-provoking. Dottie was raised with love and care by a family who couldn’t bear to see her sold at an auction, which is the typical fate of 4H animals. 4H teaches children to care for animals, only to have them cruelly forced to sell their beloved companions at fairs or auctions.

Thankfully, Dottie’s family couldn't let that happen to her. Instead, they surrendered her to Welcome Home, ensuring she would have a safe and loving forever home.

Dottie is sweet, gentle, and kind. She adores snuggles and enjoys spending her days with her best friend, Freedom. Whether she’s receiving belly rubs, rooting around the grounds, or soaking in the wallow on hot days, Dottie’s gentle nature shines through.
