Oliver

Meet Oliver, a survivor and a fighter. He was saved by a dedicated grassroots organization from being discarded as a byproduct of the dairy industry. As happens routinely on dairy farms, he was separated from his mother at birth which meant that he did not receive colostrum — the first nutrient and antibody-rich milk mammals receive from their mothers which is essential for survival.

Oliver’s fighting spirit helped him through the first weeks of receiving lifesaving care at OSU Large Animal Hospital. And he survived.

Now, Oliver is strong and full of vitality, a big and feisty boy filled with playful energy and endless silliness. His was determination to thrive against all odds, and his zest for life shows his unwavering spirit.
